We have only been together for a short time and not at all in the camping season. Being who we are we both love camping. It’s going to be a huge part of what we do in the summers. Whether it’s just a camping trip, a home base for our hiking excursions, or multi-day backing trips, camping will be a big part of our spring, summer, and fall months.
There was a bit of a concern about whether or not we were compatible camping styles. turns out, we are 100% compatible camping.
We had purchased a truck box tent for my truck to allow us to stay off the ground. We love this tent! It’s fantastic.
For this trip we went to Kinky Lake just west of Hinton Alberta. It’s right outside the east side of Jasper National Park so it’s right in the mountains. Some really nice views.
Our setup was perfect, but we still need to get it down to only what we need. No extra items that never get used. We had a fire, cooked some hot dogs and marshmallows, and just enjoyed ourselves. Managed to get in a couple of hikes but I’ll talk about those in separated posts.
